I did the exact opposite.. I hated the OEM white gauges in my '11 so I had them make a black face a couple of years ago and I still love it every time I get in the car.
Installation was not difficult at all. They provide complete instructions and you only need basic hand tools (although you'll need a Torx bit screwdriver). The most time consuming part was making sure the gauge needles were properly positioned. Overall it took a little over an hour.
