Stripe Repair???

Hey All,

I need help. My candy red 2013 has a grey/silver stripe from the factory. There is some damage to the stripe from where I had to cut the front license plate bracket off (it was riveted on there with some kind of extremely tough metal).

Anyway I need to repair a few patches of vinyl. Does anyone know who made the factory vinly stripes on the 2013 models (3M?) and what are the color codes that I would need to get a patch to replace the damaged areas?

Has anyone tired plasti dip to fix their stripes?

THANKS!

Pic for reference. The front bracket is now gone and the plate is attached to the lower hex grille.

I have some damaged stripes as well and I asked the same question over a month ago. The best advice I got was to go to a vinyl stripe business and see if a professional could patch the originals. Seems my only other viable option is to re-stripe.

2006 GT Convertible, Regency Conversion, Satin Silver, Powerstop pads and rotors, Pypes Violators, shiny interior trim bits, alloy/ dead pedals.

That sucks, I actually called ford and they weren't able to tell me who made the stripes (other than saying it was maybe 3M) and had no info on the color code for the grey/silver. I dunno if I was just speaking to a bad rep, or they didn't keep this information.

I have a silver and medium grey vinyl sample on the way from 3M and I will also try plasti-dip. If you have black stripes I would think some plasti-dip would do the trick? My biggest problem is the color

Body shops have to put on stripes after repairs. Call a reputable body shop in your area and ask them who they use for matching factory stripes.
