Tape, no clips.

It comes with 3M tape pre-applied to the panel, just peel off the backing and stick it on. See the image I attached below (from install thread Alex posted). From the photo it looks like they use plenty of tape.

Of course, this might not be considered 'good' news by some people. I know plenty of folks who dislike the whole concept of stick-on parts.

You would think that for $200 there would be something more than tape holding it on. I mean it's a sharp looking piece but let's be real. Is only a piece of plastic. I was very interested in it until this.

Valid point Blu.

It would certainly offer more peace of mind if there was some type of fastener besides just tape.

It seems a bit weird to remove the original panel (with clips), then cut a hole in the car's sheetmetal... just to add a stick-on part. I'm NOT saying there is anything wrong with it. Just that it feels a bit weird.

I just came in from the garage and dusted off the car from the 2 hour drive last Sunday and put the cover on it. I am not feeling the panel, I like the look a lot,, but I don't think I could bring myself to cut the car for the tape on panel. I am thinking again about changing to the V6 look, like the idea of not flying the GT badge. I don't know, I will figure out something before spring.

Is using solely a dremel to cut off the emblem a bad idea?
