2013 mustang v6 wrench light is on. Help!!

Hey everyone, I just bought a 2013 mustang v6 with around 113k miles which has been giving me a lot of problems.
A lot of times it will stop accelerating while im driving (the tach will still rev). This mostly happens from a complete stop like at a light but it has also happened while im driving down the road.
The problwm seems to correct its self after a few seconds, especially if I let the car drop to 0mph.
The wrench light comes on every time this happens.
I have changed all the spark plugs as a friend suggested, but nothing changed.
Has anyone else experienced this? Ive been told this could be something in the fuel delivery system or the thottle body.

The engine is also revving, I probably should have been more specific. Ive gotten a few dirty looks from people who think im just being s dumb kid in a mustang.

The problem also haplens less frequently the warmer the engine is if that makes any sense

If the engine is still revving up, but the car is not accelerating, I'd be suspicious of the transmission.

I responded to your other thread on this same question.. Is this an auto or manual? I'd start by pulling codes to see what caused the light to come on

Its an auto. Unfortunately its the wrench light, not the check engine light. No codes are coming up

First, check the transmission fluid -- if it is low, fill it up, see if problem goes away . . . if not, you probably should have a transmission shop have a look.

If the engine is revving but the car is not moving proportional to the speed of the engine; the problem is somewhere in between the engine and the rear wheels; most likely the transmission. It sounds to me like the transmission is slipping for some reason. That would explain the dirty looks -- the engine is screaming but you aren't going anywhere, and people probably think you are intentionally making a lot of noise just for fun.

first, see your owner's manual about how to check and top-off the transmission fluid . . . if filling it up fixes it, then it's a relatively simple thing to find and fix the leak

if you do end up taking it to a shop, look for a privately owned transmission specialist; they can be surprisingly reasonable and affordable (at least the one that I use is)

Did you actually connect an OBD II code scanner to check for codes? There should be something retained in the memory of the ECM even if the wrench light goes back off.

Powertrain malfunction/ reduced power . If your lucky it could be the throttle body (less than $100). You need to have it looked at by someone who knows what they are doing. Could be a sensor somewhere also. Please come back and let us know what you find out.....
