The collectors and the pipe arrangement between the BBKs and the Borlas are different. This could make the sound different and could also show a marginal power gain between the two.

Keeping in mind the 3.7L's firing order of 1-4-2-5-3-6 and the pipes in a rotational arrangement (hard not to do on a V6), with the BBK's you have each banks exhaust "swirling" in two opposite rotations (clockwise for the passenger side when view from the front of the vehicle and counterclockwise for the driver side). The Borla's on the other hand have the same pulses "swirling" in the same direction (both counterclockwise when viewed from the front of the vehicle).

The BBK's have a ball socket, very short collector and the Borla's have a long, straigh collector.

What are pipe lengths? Are they within 0.5 inches of each other??

Are LTHs by nature emissions illegal or what? I thought that the only contributing factor there was with or without cats. No?

my guess would be that long tubes usually take up the space of the stock cats, so most go with an off road pipe or aftermarket cat which may be a no-no from an emission standpoint.

Yeah, you may have some issues with aftermarket cats. and/or installing long tube headers. Moving the cats further back makes them less efficient and delays the light off of them.

Love that sound man, sounds like an old school V8! How hard were they to install? I ordered some myself and should be in any day now.

They were normal to install the Passenger side will be harder than the driver side... i know weird considering u have the steering column on the driver side but even then the passenger side was harder because of the lack of space and availability to reach the nuts and tighten them up good, besides that you will notice that when you try to put the X pipe it will look like it does not fit well you will have to have someone bring the headers together while another person slides the x pipe into place.

He doesn't have the MyColor option so that is the base gauge setup. No changes.

anyway you could get a better video? a cellphone camera makes it hard to hear on the outside and inside. The lower tones get drowned out and make it sound higher pitched.

Thanks for being the first to actually upload this system, yea it is distorted a tad from the camera but at WOT it sounds awesome. Any rattle or problems like the BBK's? Also how is the tone? lower growl during idle than with jsut the Atak's or does it overall seem higher pitched?

not really high piched at all think of this system like a 2000 watt amplifier listening to a low rythm of bass stream everytime you hit the gas softly best way to discribe this system is basicly ...... Sounds like a V10 Engine Viper Like its not hi piched at all

Q:Any rattle or problems like the BBK's
A:Not really all thou in low RPM's if u let the car get to low the muffler will rattle

Q:Also how is the tone? lower growl during idle than with jsut the Atak's or does it overall seem higher pitched?
A:the ATAK system kicks in after 2000 RPM's now the COMBINATION of them both is that before 2k it sounds like a low end growl after 2k depending how fast you accelerate it starts winning up pretty loud!

Now if you can find someone with a good quality camera to film some drive-bys/etc...
