Car manufacturers are being pushed into putting 10k+ changes into the manual because America wants to spend less and go green. I work at a car dealership and oil experts that have came in all admitted that all oil yes even your so great over hyped mobil 1 crap starts to break down around 4k but can be pushed a little more. I'm not taking mine to 10k miles. I never said that I was. That is a maximum and can probably only be achieved under "perfect conditions". So don't worry about it so much buddy. Me running my oil a little longer than you do doesn't affect you. Also I don't use cheap oil.
