What's your best and worst mods?

The best mods for myself:
- MGW shifter (Another reason I love driving my Mustang)
- Passenger side oil separator (it definitely works)
- K&N air filter for stock air box (better gas pedal response, better sound)
- Dynamat the floor, doors, trunk, and hood (the interior is much quieter now)

The worst mods:
- CAI (it generates a nasty sound, I had to remove it).
- Quarter Window Louvers (it creates too big of a blind zone)

Do you lose your side airbags by replacing the seats?

3.73 gears, tune, and CAI. It's a different car after those few changes. I'm interested in the Corbeau seats too. How are they working out for you? I've sat in the Recaro's and loved them but I just have a hard time parting with $3K.

Welll I have a 99 mustang so no side air bag issues, but you can remove the warning lights with a mod, but be careful as you might have issues with your insurrance company.

I have the corbeau trs seats and they hold me WELL and im a small guy, I have sat in the hyundai genesis recaros and I have to say about the corbeaus are better. The cr1 and a4 and lg1 are great seats, I went with the trs because I like the color scheme better

best mods: procharger, 3.55 gears.

Worst mods: Barton shifter, I like the lower bracket but the shifter sucks for the track. I get more gear lock out then anything. Stock shifter is better. Also ET Street drag radials. Should of gotten slicks, they dont hook at the track. When I was NA I ran better times on my street tires. Go figure.

Grabber Blue 2012 V6 6-Speed Procharger P-1SC-1 @ 8psi tuned by Mustang Magic, Tial-Q BOV 3.55 Gears, Spec flywheel, exedy stage-3 clutch, 4in Alum. I don't have any mods I don't love. The best are the Eibach sway bars (front/rear). I have a CAI (love the "nasty" sound), strut tower bar, scoops, louvers and oh, brand new are the tail light tints. Those really complete the back end.

My best mod was the Roush hood scoop. No bad mods, but do not understand anyone saying that covering the quarter windows makes a blind spot. They offer no view at all.

Best mods everything I've done except for the Raxiom Halo Headlights. Wish I went with retro fitted HIDs instead :/

Best: Steeda tune for sure. Made the car feel much more powerful. After would be the shorties in terms of gains.

Worst: HID Headlights I have. I really wish I just found some retrofit projectors or something for 200 dollars.

Best mod: STRUT TOWER BRACE
Worst mod: Airaid CAI (like the OP said: nasty sound)

Mods in order of "like": 1) Strut tower brace 2) 1-1/4" hitch receiver 3) FRPP 3:31 differential 4) 87P tune ...............10) CAI

I removed the CAI after 4 months and recently sold it. I now have the K&N drop-in filter which I am thrilled with.

I have to agree, Airaid intake sounds amazing. Most convincing argument: I frequently get compliments on my car's sound from course workers.

If it sounds nasty, it's probably because it was hitting the fender in a weird way and rattling. If someone is willing to dig through this thread:

https://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...t-hot-air.html

I document all the things I found wrong with my Airaid and how I fixed them.
