I believe you need download a tune to adjust your shifting after making such a big change.

Manual or automatic?

You should also check in with your dealer, McCarthy. If you need further assistance, dont hesitate to PM FordServiceCA.

Deysha,

I'm actually curious because my 2013 mustang has done it a couple of times. If its under warranty, can the dealer actually change the gears to something other than the stock 2.73s if I request it. And would it fall under warranty? Also, if they do would they be able to tune the computer so the gears run smoothly??

Its up to them to add aftermarket parts to your vehicle, RaceRedSixxer. This will be customer pay, not a warrantable replacement.

I recommend you have it looked at by your Ford Dealer to make sure all is good. PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can escalate this to the customer service for your area.

i have a full stock 2012 v6 and i've had the 2-1 lunge since i bought it.

i had the dealer service the transmission, which made the lunge slightly less noticeable, but it still does it.

just another thing to get used to.

check out this thread on the clunk when shifting between park, drive and reverse... you may also be noticing this.

bottom line is that the drivetrain is clunky, period.
