You are not thinking about this correctly. Electronic adjustable cut outs are the way to go....Just be sure they are elec. adjustable. Think wide open for strip, closed for highway cruise when you want no drone or in the quiet neighborhood. Or anywhere in between for cool sound on the street......No axel backs can give you all this, and the cut outs are considerable less expensive....best regards Plum

I replaced my crimped pipe with glasspacks. But now I'm looking into replacing the whole over axle pipe with 2.5" dynomax piping.

Yeah but unfortunately one of the pipe is crimped and therefor would not allow for an install at least in that location which I was planning. additionally, I'm not aware of any adjustable electric cutouts. wither all open or all closed. lastly, I read many that have the cutouts and they say there is major drone, at least all open, but drone none the less. Believe me I like the idea of electric cutouts but you have to also consider the cars warranty.

2013 V6 Mustang Automatic with the following mods: Roush Hood scoop, 3M Clear braw paint protector, MRT rear window louvers, 3M scotchprint carbon fiber roof wing decklid and scoop, strut tower brace, FRPP axleback exhaust.
