Bunch of work getting done today...

Getting a new rear end assembly, 2 new wheels and front LCA's on my 2012 today

Rear end started whining a little while ago
2 of the wheels have flaking clear coat
Front LCA's are finally covered by TSB

Hopefully this will be it for a while!!

I'm a happy camper... picked up the car today.. 2 new wheels, new rear end (no more whine), and new front LCA's.

Dealership provided me with a rental car while mine was getting worked on, and they intentionally did NOT wash it because they knew I wouldn't want my car running through their automated car wash...

Sounds good, I need to get my front LCA's looked at to. They don't make a lot of noise, but they do make noise.

FYI .. according to the tech, there was metal shavings in the rear end fluid... they found worn carrier bearings and damage to the diff housing due to the carrier cups spinning.. kinda disappointing considering it's a "Performance Package" car that's only a year and a half old with 30k miles on it.

the 8.8 in our mustangs has been one of the best rears in the performance world. You just got a bad one.

How bad was the gear wine? Should we experience any low levels of gear wine at any specific rpm or speed?

Cobb Access Port
MAPerformance Tune, CAI, and Intercooler
NGK 6510 Sparkplugs
Everything else is for show.

It was significant. I'm almost 100% deaf in one ear, and the other ear doesn't hear high-frequency tones very well ...

and I heard it.
