again Ticking

Sorry for new topic. I hav e a car in Europe. When I have a cold engine hear the ticking. When the engine is warm sound of the is smooth. I think: Valve clearance is large and therefore when the engine is cold hear ticking. If the engine warms up valve clearence is is reduced therefore engine sound is smooth. I think right?

How often do you need to set the clearance valves?
What value should be set valve clearance?
Which oil should be used in Europe?
The correct choice of engine oil remove ticking?
Thanks you Boris

Valve clearance isn't readily adjustable on the 3.7 V6. The clearance is machined into the bucket followers, no shims are used.

The cold start tick is a known issue for the V6 and there is a Ford TSB out and a repair procedure is available.

If you look at the top of this forum section there is a "sticky" thread all about it.
