Question Active Valve Exhaust Question

Purchased a new leftover 2018 100A EcoBoost in July. The wife's car, it's too quite for her.
She wants it to sound like it has some ca'hones. Put a JBA muffler on her 2005 V6, still sounds good.
Found some Active valve mufflers off a 2019 GT for a very attractive price. So the question is, can they be configured to split the flow through both sides of the muffler? May be more work than it's worth, but her list of improvements is getting longer. Thanks for any advice.

2005: S&B CAI, Throttle Body Spacer, Throttle Body Coolant Bypass, Strut Tower Brace, Drilled & Slotted Rotors, Gt 500 Struts, J&M Camber Plates, 18in. 2010 GT Wheels, Rear Sway Bar, Sequential Turn Signals, Demon Coil & Live Wires, JBA Muffler, BBK Shorty Headers, GT Front Bumper and Fog Lights.
2018: Just started, nothing added yet.

I think the "active valve" mufflers work with the control system in the car to "open up" the flow through both sides to make it louder, or close one side down to make it quiet . . . so if you want it to be loud all the time, you could hard-wire it open; but you won't be able to make it quiet unless you have the control system in the car, which you don't.

I am not sure if the GT mufflers are compatible with the ecoboost piping and hangers, but suspect they probably are. So if you can get the muffler super cheap, it might be worth a try.

But yeah, more likely more trouble than it is worth; simple solution is to buy a louder "axle back" aka "muffler" that is made for your car.

IMHO, there is nothing you can do to make an ecoboost sound any better than it is. Loud 6cyl engines are just obnoxious.

FWIW, the Ecoboost is a Turbo 4cyl.

BTW, you can make any engine configuration sound good or bad. I was at Mustang Week in Mrytle Beach a few years back and i have never heard as many foul sounding late model Mustang v8s.

I have a 17 Ecoboost Mustang and get nothing but compliments on the sound of the exhaust.

Active Valve Exhaust

Thank you all for the comments, going to pass on the Active Exhaust. We do still have the obnoxious V6 with a single JBA axle back. She likes the rumble though, said she was going to drive it tomorrow. Don't want the new one to sound like a fart can, but want her to be happy with her new car. Guess I'll keep looking.

You can make them open all the way or close all the way very easy and for about $20. any two spots is easy it’s having multiple settings that starts getting complex and expensive
