Never say never.

Well....I never intended to but I traded in my 5 year old ( bought new ) 2012 V6 Mustang for a Brand New Black Mustang GT and picked it up the day after Labor Day. I got a awesome deal! Plus a nice $2,500 rebate. I never intended to switch to a 5.0 nor did I ever want a black car lol. My V6 was only driven on weekends and occasionally to work. Only 28,040 miles in it. I must say I have zero complaints about the 3.7 V6 and was a solid reliable car. In my 45 years I NEVER saw normally aspirated V6 pull so Hard. I have nothing bad to say about the V6 and no regrets.

Soon I'll update my stats and post pics of my New GT I call the "Italian Stallion". Mine has the 18 inch rims with Pirelli P Zero Nero tires. I'm not sure if I'll mod for performance yet. I will say even the stock exhaust sounds great for now. Eventually maybe a cat back exhaust. So far I ordered small essential items from American Muscle. A Husky trunk liner and a set of Lloyd plain black carpeted floor mats (mostly because I needed rear floor Mats). After my first 5000 mile oil change that I probably won't hit until next spring I'll go with a K&N drop in air filter as I do with all my cars. But my first order of business is when this fuel tank runs low is to refill with some 93 octane. I'm quite sure the dealer only put 87 in it. Then obviously I'll be running 93 octane in it forever! I won't be driving it for a few days as it's raining in New Jersey and as with my previous Mustang The GT will not see rain or snow and will hibernate in the garage for winters but will be started once or twice a week and pulled in and out of the garage to move the tires. Then 2015 Kia Soul will be on Duty for the winter.
I absolutely Love my new 2017 Mustang GT. What a amazing car! Yes I'm excited!!

Thank you! Loving it. I finally got to put some miles on it so this weekend and more today (Sunday) I filled it up with 93 Octane.

Congrats and welcome to the 5.0 world.

I'd love to put 93 in mine, but with the outrageous gas prices the hurricanes drove up in Florida... I'll wait lol.

Thank you! I hear you on the gas prices. My GT is not my daily driver ( I use my Kia Soul) so luckily I don't burn through much gas on a weekly basis. Its only just over a week since I bought it and I have not even brought it to work yet. Traffic crazy on interstate 80.
Yes the 5.0 world. Even the factory exhaust sounds great! I have not owned a V8 since 1994 when I sold my Firebird Formula. Still deciding what mods to do. For now I think I'll drop in a K&N filter in a few months. Possibly a Catback Borla Exhaust.

Congrats I did the same thing. The V-6 is a great car but I 5.0 is the stuff. I have added some custom stripes and cat back exhaust.

Nice! I'm thinking of a Borla Touring Cat back exhaust. Then part of me says get some use out of the factory exhaust and just go with a Ford Racing X pipe ( resonator delete ).

Having made the same change you did (11 V6 to 17 GT) about two weeks before you, I completely agree on the Ford Racing X Pipe. The plus side is that for $225, it will make a nice Christmas gift for you if you drop enough subtle hints around the house.
