So tmodem, Ford coprorate views "loyalty' differently, depending on WHICH Ford you own? One would think if you own ANY Ford and are buying a new car, Ford would gladly offer you an incentive to stay in the family.
Went through this shopping for the 2010 Sonata. You could get a "loyalty" rebate of $500 on the 2011, but not a new "leftover" 2010. I actually Googled the VP of sales and called him, got his assistant. I suggested that Hyundai didn't really value loyal owners (we have two in the house) if they gave a "loyalty" for one new Hyundai but not another.
I was authorized a "friendly" $500 rebate from the zone office within two days.
It grinds me that I own a Ford, and want to buy another one over that Hyundai, but because I have an older Escort, they don't deem me "loyal enough".
Unfortunately, Ford is really rigid when it comes to the rules. I have had to make many calls to Dealer Services, to get "exceptions" to those rules. I find that if you're falling in a "gray" area, then they will bend a bit more. I get Books of PDF's, of these rules all the time. It is brutal
All I can say Richm2256, is to keep grinding Customer Service, if you think you legitimately should have an incentive. They may bend
