I love verts and have owned one for most of my driving life. My last car was a 2005 Mustang V6 vert that I bought new and just recently traded in for a 2011 GT. You really should test drive a V6 and a GT in coupe and convertible forms and then make a decision. I chose the 2011 GT without the convertible top because I wanted the power of the 5.0 and didn't want to spend the extra cash for a vert GT. I could have gotten a V6 vert for less than my GT, but the 5.0 engine is just too much fun especaily with the 6 speed MT. So far, I'm not regretting loosing the vert.
I think I'll go for the coupe after all. Found too many wrong sides on a vert: less trunk space, cloth top might pass out on sunburns, 5000$ more, the line of the car isn't there anymore with a vert, I would choose a 5.0 Coupe instead of a V6 Vert also.
Did you test drive the V6 before buying your 5.0?
