Loose clutch.....idk

Im seriously tired of posting problems with my car. lol..

ok so this past weekend i had my car fixed. before i took her back the mechanic mentioned my clutch was "loose" is what im pretty sure i thought he said. He said it engages high on the pedal you know. like when the pedals almost all the way up. Which made me realize, "Holy crap yes thats been bothering me!" he told me to bring it by anytime.

anyhow, anyone know out there where a clutch is actually supposed to engage? I think he said it should be engaging fairly low and longer. Mine has a very short engagement span at the top like this "--". hes implying you want this "-----". haha.

anyone know?
-thanks
