Just for the hell of it, what do you guys think of a rebuilt stock 4.2??? How much power could i pack on that? I mean that would be a basic(again lack of a better word) assembly compared to a performance/forged install.
I mean I think the upper and lower intakes are pretty much bolt on after ported by a shop? Could I get some decent numbers going that route then get some experience? I mean could I go stage 2 or 3 upper , stock bottom and then get a SC and achieve a good number HP wise? I know another guy said I could put a 9, maybe 11 boost on stock. When does the reliability start to suffer on that stock motor?
A good stock 4.2 bottom end, ported heads, intakes, and cam will get you there along with a power adder......
