Not necessarily the guzzler tax, but it's certainly to improve the GT's mileage, and therefore Ford's CAFE (which is government-mandated. It's C
conomy). The more higher-mileage cars they sell means the more low-mileage (and profitable) trucks they are allowed to sell.
Any updates on the disabling of this 'feature'? Has anyone had any problems traceable to doing it? I haven't had a chance to get under my car yet, but hope to soon.
