... Basically it's a giant heat exchanger that pulls heat out of one side and adds it to the other. Depending which side you blow into your "area" decides whether it's a heater or cooler.
However, I don't know if that same method is used in cars (now that you got me thinking about, Mark.
) I'm just unsure... :p
But yeah, do the right procedure to bleed all the air out. Then check your heater core if still having problems.
