Hey I live right down the road in Nanticoke: I must by you every day on the way in to work. =p My Stang is a 98 (jellybean style), yellow with blacke lights & windows, blue scoops, and blue rims in the summer - what's your daughter's look like?
As far as single-muffler replacement, glasspacks are the cheapest & most flow on the stock system. But they tend to be raspy. A good compromise is the Thrush welded mufflers that Redlyr suhgested: good flow, good price, decent sound. =D
Of course, the best performance would be some type of true-dual system... =p

FLASH = 98 V6, chrome yellow, black & blue accents, 146k daily driver
POWER: divorced exhaust with glasspacks; BBK CAI, TB, UDPs; (shift kit in the garage)
STYLE: black headlights, black taillights, black grille, black hood pins, black window tint, blue hood & side scoops, blue billet fuel door, interior billet, 12000k HIDs
RIMS: XXR 006 black spoke with blue lip; 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear
TIRES: BFG KDW/2 245/40R18 front, 275/35R18 rear
