For those who disabled the skip shifting, have you experienced any problems, warranty issues, warning lights, warning codes......basically anything negative, since you disconnected the plug?

I would appreciate any and all feedback from those who did this disable and can provide reassurance it's safe to do.

Thank you
Disabling the skip shift solenoid is perfectly safe and does not cause any CEL or codes. There is no feedback from the skip shift solenoid to any control system on the car so it is not traceable. However, the info display will still show the skip shift condition but will not cause any lockout since the solenoid is disconnected. If you are worried about it, just reconnect it before taking the car to the dealer for any servicing so warranty issues cannot arise.
