I hardly ever drive with the top down anyway. I'm doing more research on the whole amp thing because I have never done it before. I have the speaker wire, I have a good head unit, I have the speakers and the amp but I don't have that damn cable!
Could I use an old battery cable or heavy gauge speaker cable (10-12 gauge I think)? Does it HAVE to have a fuse built in the wire? The amp itself has a fuse in it already. I hear the fuse in the wire is just in case of short circuits...but what would that matter if the cable is shielded?
