2012 Mustang aftermarket stereo install..but not in dash need help.
I do not want to change the look of my dash at all. I do not like the install kits for our cars or the $400 price tag. I have an awesome Pioneer deck for my previous car worth about $600+ new.
I am thinking of installing it under the passenger dash with a custom mount I will make and it will be slightly out of sight.
I have a 12" sub and 4 Alpine 6x8 type R's and a 4 channel amp and a mono block.
I have installed many stereos and amps over the years so I know a bit about installs and the work involved.
I am just wondering if anyone has done something similar and has some tips for me? I would still like my factory radio to light up and the display to work. But the actual music and speaker handling would be done by the aftermarket deck hidden slightly.
Any help would be appreciated.
