I think its a lot of money to spend on a gym membership but I don't think many people would consider it a "huge" cash drain relative to their other expenses
I see the whole "gym" thing and wanting to one day own a home gym did not fully get the message across.
Its a huge drain spending 250-300$ a week on groceries. This is just the basics for me (fish, egg whites, oats, chicken, ground beef, ground turkey, rice, veggies etc.) Then you have your supplements and various other crap. It gets especially expensive in the off season. Having 7 meals a day doing around 7k calories makes for some expensive Cosco trips each week.
