To me the MT82 issues are mostly a matter of perception over fact.. I've seen a few catastrophic failures.. but most complaints are due to irrelevant (IMO) issues like noise and missing a gear (I blame myself if I miss a gear). I'm happy with mine, but if I decide to build my car past 650whp or so I'll probably swap for a magnum xl. From what I read they handle about 700 wheel before shredding apart from the inside.
