FYI any kind of finish on the brake rotors is for shipping and storing to prevent rust. It will come off as soon as you apply the brakes while driving. Pretty much every track guy recommends stock rotors, unless you are going for appearance reasons.
Great point, honestly I did not even think about the fact that the black coat will be brushed off by the pads, another reason why I post these questions before making any moves. Other people look at things differently, really helps
. Thinking along these lines now, wouldnt drilled/ slotted rotors begin to rust inside the drilled holes?
