I built a sub box in my 03 convertable, used the spare tires area and the box is ported and has 1.36 cu feet. built a false floor to make it look factory. I lost 2" of floor space. I have 600 RMS feeding the sub and it is awsome for a single 10". I previous had the same set up in a .8 cu feet box and it sounded ok. The design of the box is very important if you are going to a ported box. I did look into a set up with 2 10" subs but the trunk space would be almost gone due to the size needed. You can run a port to the cab very easily so increase the sound in the cab but I didn't choose to go this option. When the top of the car is down the sound from the sub is greatly lower. Check out my pics of the build. https://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...3-convert.html
