If your springs arent in good shape a sway wont do too just couples the the two springs..aka trying to make the inside spring compress as you turn a corner instead of compressing the outside spring all the way. depends on your preference. A stick axle works differently than most vehicles, but the stiffer the rear, the more oversteer, the thicker the front relative to the rear, the more understeer.

With a GT rear and a v6 front, there's an initial understeer followed by a transition to oversteer, but it's gradual.
