Where can I get a real owners manual?

Hello I just bought my first Mustang. It is a 97 Cobra fresh off a rebuild with 500 miles. It has terminator cam's, bbk long tube headers and a bunch of other stuff. But I was wondering where I can get the original service manual for this car. I looked on ebay but I wasn't sure if all 4.6's share the same maintenance manual as I was also going to put a new stereo in there and wanted to make sure the wiring is the same.

I would think one covers all. My 93 manual covers all motors. Not sure wiring is covered in the shop manual. Later years had separate wiring manuals that covered all motors.

Owners manual is useless as far as wiring goes. You would need either the shop manual that actual Ford dealer techs might use or an Alldata/Mitchell account.

Easiest way is just get a plug n play kit from Best Buy or any local car audio shop. You won't have to splice into crap with that.

As far as owner's manual, Ebay. Pretty sure all Mustangs came with the same one.

The "owner guide" is the book that fits in the glove compartment. It's about 300 pages long, and tells you how to do stuff like use the seat belts and check the fluids.

A "maintenance schedule" is a small pamphlet that accompanies the owner's manual. It has a bunch of boxes that you're supposed to check and record the mileage when you take the car in for service.

The "service manual" is a couple thousand pages long, and outlines repair procedures and includes some wiring diagrams. That's the one you're looking for, right? Sometimes you can find those on eBay, but I got mine on CD from Bishko.
