Rear center length

Raybestos has two length options for the rear center hose. 9.63” and 13.” Which is the correct length for a ‘95?

Huh, that's odd.

Among RockAuto's center brake hoses, there's only one Raybestos-brand offering: BH38372. It's listed as having an overall length of 9.625", and is for '86-'98 Mustangs and '86 Capris. If you select CARiD's 9.63" hose, that BH38372 part number will appear.

But if you go for CARiD's 13" option, "BH36829" gets displayed instead. A reverse lookup of that part number brings me back to RockAuto, who confirms it as having an overall length of 13". But it has a much bigger application list, which still mentions '86-'98 Mustangs, but the Capri Range is '79-'85, and there are a bunch of other vehicles that it supposedly fits too. Not sure what to make of that. When you look up '95 Mustang parts on RA, the BH36829 doesn't even come up.

Dang. The 9” would probably be the safest gamble maybe. I guess I might have to crawl under and measure.

I’m out of pocket. If any ‘94-‘98 fellas feel like taking a look under at your center hose to see how long it is that’d be cool.

According to part numbers these are the same hoses. LMR says it’s a direct replacement for ‘86-‘95.
The amazon’s product specs says it’s 15” long.

D'oh, I just realized- the 13" BH36829 is for V6 cars. Which makes sense- the 7.5" rear end and all... That's why it didn't come up under RockAuto's 1995 5.0 section. It's right there under the 3.8 section. So yeah you don't want that (unless maybe you're building a lifted off-road machine lol).

Amazon and RockAuto both list that Centric 150.61328 as being a Cobra-only part, but RockAuto doesn't confirm its length as being 15". Why would the Cobra's be different from the GT here? I thought they didn't have IRS until '99 models.

Sounds like the one you want is the BH38372 (or whatever equivalent brand suits your fancy).

Ha! Thanks man. I saw that on amazon about it being for cobra’s. . I’m not sure why the diff hose would have to be longer. Same rear end isn’t it? Larger rotors and calipers, but I dunno how that’d affect the diff hose.
Thanks again man. I’m going to go with the Ray’s I believe.
