Cannot find TFT sensor for 2000 GT

So I have two codes stored in my ECU (P0712 and P0713) which indicates an issue with the TFT sensor but I cannot find it anywhere. Is this part even exist? lol I called Ford but assholes never called back. I don't see anything on google, Ebay or LMR. I have an automatic tranny.

The TFT sensor is on pins #2 (GR/RD) and #5 (OR/BK). After disconnecting the transmission connector a regular volt-ohm meter (VOM) can be used to "read" the resistance of the TFT sensor. Compare the measured value to the table above. Go from there with regards to what to do next.

Compare the value that the PCM "thinks" the TFT sensor is verses the resistance value from the Ford table. Perform a through visual inspection of the the transmission harness wiring connector. Inspect for bent/pushed/dirty/corroded pins.

It should be located either in the trans pan or in the trans case just above the pan since it senses not only the fluid temp but also the fluid level. Time for ramps/stands, a flash light and time. The V6 TFT is accessible from under the battery box.

Update: These codes haven't come back but I have a new code P1718 and there is nothing on google, I mean more specific regarding the code.

This same pinpoint test has been given to you previously. It basically compares the TFT value that the PCM is "seeing" to the measured TFT sensor resistance. The purpose again is to narrow down:
  • A sensor problem
  • A wiring problem
  • A PCM problem

Just wondering. When the transmission was replaced was it replaced with a compatible model year for this application?

>>From Ford Service manual.
P1718 TFT, wiring, PCM

TFT continually reading hot

TFT sensor in range high failure.

Go To Pinpoint Test B .

PINPOINT TEST B: TRANSMISSION FLUID TEMPERATURE (TFT) SENSOR
