Need some help.

my sons is looking to buy a 1997 GT with 80,000 miles. guy wants 7000k for it. Does that sound reasonable if the car is in good shape.

I would check to see what the cars base value is online such as kelly blue book or a different sorce for worth estimate. I checked this car on usaa and they say it's worth, Trade-In Value$3,725
I had to enter a random texas zip but this will give you a ball park price range.

Wouldn't pay $7,000,000 for a 97 GT

I wouldn't pay $7,000 either... $4k to $5k in excellent condition... That's it!!

I would listen to these guys...5,000.00. Keep in mind it will prabably need some work, at the least some preventative maintenance such as fluids and soon tune up parts.

$7,000 is too much, the guy either has no clue or is greedy. To me $5,000 is still a little too high, but way more reasonable, the thing better be in excellent condition. If its been modded its also a good sign that it has been beaten.
