Smile Im Proud Of My Mustang GT even though we lost...TO A CORVETTE! Lol

Hey wassup everyone so i was hoping my first racing post with my GT mustang would be a kill story but getting killed by a corvette LS1 is okay lol. So my neighbor owns a 1998 Corvette LS1 and we were chillin talkin outside and decided to go and race a my gt against his vette. So we went from a role everytime and I lost everytime BUT since I have 5-speed manual and he has an automatic EVERYTIME once that third horn honk went off I got a jump on him by about 1 car length or less. Anyways I'll upload the videos from yesterday enjoy.

Vid Tips:

1) In the first video I didnt know my buddy(neighbor) in his vette wanted to cut over into the lane next to me before we raced so I went then slowed down, then we lined up again and you really have to listen for the horn honks and you see the jump I get on him by about one length, BUT the reason he falls hella far behind is cause there was another car in his way so by NO WAY IS A GT SMOKING A VETTE BY 10 LENGTHS LOL.

Even though I lost I told my friend "Its an honor to just keep ahead of that LS1 for 3-seconds so i left the race happy even though I lost all three but I was expecting it lol.

Thumbs up

I thought your car was modded but anyways if he/she didn't let you too far is okay... You can still beat here after you put some bolt-ons...

Upload your video to youtube and under the "descriptions" box on youtube there should be a little bar that looks like you can type in it and it says "url" all you do is copy and paste from youtube to here!

Hey no shame in losing to an LS1 vette with a stock stang. Just be careful racing on the highway like that.

-04 Mustang GT-Intercooled Kenne bell 2.1L supercharged @10psi, bolt ons, 3:73 gears, big brake upgrade, some suspension, 315's rear.

-08 Corvette Z06-B&B exhaust, K&N filter.

-12 Tacoma Prerunner

with some minor work you should be able to beat him next time you go out. Those cars aren't that fast.

the bad thing about a loss is that your gonna end up spending a lot more money than you planned.

Exactly, the LS1s in the Vettes seem to be especially fast and like you said my GT is completely stock until today when I just installed my Airaid CAI. But when I raced the Vette I was completely stock.
