Cobra & Mach 1

So from what i've read the Mach 1's of 03 & 04 are 4 valve like the cobra's. I've also read the whole rotating assembly in the cobra's of 03 & 04 are forged. Now, is the motor that comes in a Mach 1 contain forged internals as well? Is it the same motor aside from not being supercharged?

The Mach did not come with the forged bottom end like the cobra. The only thing is the 5spd manual Machs come with forged crank I believe, but you can still run 10psi safely on those engines and make loads of power.

-04 Mustang GT-Intercooled Kenne bell 2.1L supercharged @10psi, bolt ons, 3:73 gears, big brake upgrade, some suspension, 315's rear.

-08 Corvette Z06-B&B exhaust, K&N filter.

Right on. Been contemplating getting a cobra but have also been looking at mach 1's. Might not completely be a cheaper route to go but the car itself would be. Then I could always add a supercharger later down the road......

I love the Cobra but don't get me wrong if I had the choice I'd get the Azure Blue Mach 1 thats one of my favorites.

Thanks for the replies guys. So as far as the internals go then........just the crank comes forged in the 5 speed on a mach 1? And the cobra has a full forged rotating assembly?

this seems like a good route for the price, miles, and mods.
