So I looked for awhile on the internet and most of what I found was that it was just an appearance package. I found a thread on the subject on stangnet. There wassome useful info, but most of the guys on there sounded like a bunch nutjobs. I don't know maybe it will help you out. Boss Mustang??????? - Mustang Forums at StangNet

I would say it could be your driving, but you said it was your first mustang and you were new to it. Is it an auto or 5 speed? Anyways you can always look for the obviuos bolt ons. Cold air intake, throttle body, upper plenum, exhaust, under drive pulleys. Or maybe power adders? Supercharger, turbo, or maybe some giggle gas?

Never heard of a newer Boss stang. I knew they made them in the mid to later 90's though. There used to be one that rode around my a while back and I believe its decals plus cold air intake and tuned exhaust. Not very much, maybe suspension too. It has a good name on it though.

-04 Mustang GT-Intercooled Kenne bell 2.1L supercharged @10psi, bolt ons, 3:73 gears, big brake upgrade, some suspension, 315's rear.

-08 Corvette Z06-B&B exhaust, K&N filter.

-12 Tacoma Prerunner
