Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass hood? Need some advice

Ok I have a few questions, I am getting an 03-04 svt cobra hood for my 03 mustang gt. Now I dont know what to get Carbon Fiber, or Fiberglass. I want to paint the hood to match my car, and the only reason im getting the hood is for looks. Also how much weight an I saving going from a metal hood to a CF or FB hood? Last, Which one would hold up to mother nature, (ie sun, rain, snow, ect), and is it worth $500?

fiberglass is going to be your best bet
less expensive, easier to paint, and i dont think its a huge weight difference
while carbon fiber is nice and light, i just dont think its worth the money imo but hey that might just be me

Depending on who makes the hood, the fiberglass could actually be heavier. My 2000 Cobra R hood I bought from Boss Inc. is fiberglass and it weighs 22lbs. If you are painting it and not concerned with weight, just get what you want.

C&L 80mm mass air, Mac CAI, BBK 65mm tb, Steeda ud pulleys, MGW shifter, RAM HD clutch and aluminum flywheel, 3:73 gears, 2.5" Dynomax o/r x pipe, 3" MAC cat back system w/ 3 1/2" tips, Kenny Brown(front and rear strut tower brace, caster plates, subframe connectors, extreme matrix brace, jacking rails, torque brace, lowering springs), Tokico D-Spec shocks, 03-04 Cobra(side scoops, rear bumper cover, top), 6pt roll cage, white FR500's, FMS 2000 Cobra R air dam, Steeda race wing, VIS carbon hood.
