Is this a good deal for a 03 Mach 1?

Hey all, I'm lookin for cars for my friend, and I ran across this mustang, looks like minor bumper damage on the front, seems like a good price for gt let alone a Mach 1.

Opinions appreciated! Thanks!

Just judging from the limited pictures listed I would say so. But not even one pic of the motor. The bumper is definitely minor. I think it would at least be worth a look.

Thanks, I'll check out the engine if I get to see it, I just thought it was odd to find a Mach 1 that cheap in Cali with 50xxx miles

For that price I had a feeling it was gonna be an automatic trans when I scrolled down, Nice car but the motor isn't as strong internally as the 5 speeds.. BUT if your friend likes Auto's great car and choice color!

Wait, they made the internals weaker on those 4.6's mated to the autos? Which parts? Im a late mustang convert, used to be a gm guy, never ran into this with my LS motors. Is there parts in the 4.6's with autos more prone to failing?

Not more prone to failing but the 5 speeds have a much stouter Forged Crank from the 96-04 SVT Cobra, and 8 bolt flywheels..

Not bad at all. I got my 2003 mach automatic for 13,999. Had 17 thousand miles on it. Of course I'm in Florida so obviously theirs a difference in area. Looks like a minor bumper issue would just be a good way to talk the guy down.

Excellent price, and the bumper thing is a 2 minute fix (same thing happened to my car), just gotta lift it so the tabs will slide back into the bracket that holds the bumper to the fender. It's not a permanent fix though, it will pop again if you scrape the front on something like a parking block or leaving a driveway. And the only thing that's different about the engine internals is the auto's have a cast iron crank vs. forged steel in the 5 speed cars; it should still be good to 650rwhp or whatever like the 2V GT's.

who told you stock 2V and 03-04 Mach's Rods,Pistons and fasteners could handle 650RW? If that was the case there'd be a shortage on Kenne Bells

I was only speaking of the stock iron crank being able to handle some real power, of course I know the stuff on top of it is fragile and wouldn't even back out of the driveway at the power level I suggested. And 650 was just a number I threw out for shits n' giggles.

Do you mean color wise? Cause they are offered in Oxford White, Dark Shadow Grey, Black, Torch Red, Azure Blue, Zinc Yellow (changed to Screaming Yellow in 04), and Competition Orange in 04.
I still might get one. Almost bought an Oxford white here recently.

maybe I'm wrong, but I was told to look at the heads to know if it was real or not. The one I looked at was a regular old 4.6 with a shaker hood and some badges. You want the svt motor.
