well considering that the zl1 will cost about half of the new 800hp super snake i think i would rather get that and save about 50k.

My most recent copy of Hot Rod magazine showed a Baldwin Motion Camaro pushing similar figures. Google Baldwin Motion and Yenko if you have no knowledge of old school Chevy muscle. They were the Tasca and Holman Moody of Chevrolet.

Cruising the misinformation superhighway in a Terminator.

the problem with how cool 800hp is; that for MOST of us here in the mustang loving world, we wont ever be able to afford one unless we hit the lottery

like the ford GT of like 2006; i would work out payments on a 20yr loan on one of those, but even still i dont think i could afford the amound they are asking...

and as far as good bye chevy, give it a year or two im sure they will make a supercharged vette/camaro for about 80k (if the ZL1 vette is not already there) pushing around or above 800hp

however, u CAN say good bye import garbage cuz without the engines we have, and without nitrous their cars wont ever reach that

the mustang was built for the average american enthusiast... a middle to lower class american citizen who pays taxes... so therefore you could never afford this car cuz by the time u make enough, they have taxed you for more than ur life at work was worth good luck

2015 Mustang GT Premium with Track Pack (i think calling it the performance package was just dumb)

800 hp is nice for bragging rights, but it doesn't mean sh!t if you can only put 500 of it to the ground which will likely be the case, as also is with the current outgoing 725 hp Super Snake which in all reality isn't any faster than the 550 hp GT500. It only makes sense if you mini-tub it and outfit it with a drag suspension setup capable of hunting buffalo.

Another example, I recall a Motor Trend from about 2 years ago they had a comparison between the then-current 505 hp Z06 vs. a like 800-something hp Lingenfelter (sp?) Corvette. Even with a superb platform such as the C6 has, the extra power proved to rob the chassis of balance, making the car easily uncontrollable under most circumstances. And bottom line: The Z06 outperformed the tuner Vette in just about every category.

As cool as the 800 HP monster sounds...Id really rather have a street machine corner carver rather then a straight drag strip car. I guess im biased towards the boss 302, just would love it to have alittle more HP.
