Mustang Bullitt - Shut off at 40 MPH - Please advise

Please advise- I have a 2001 Mustang GT Bullitt - 47K Miles - I was cruising at approx 40mph and the car just shut down. Had to muscle it to the side of the road with no power. Service engine soon light came on. I let the car sit for about 5 Min and restarted. It started a bit sluggish but started.. seemed to carry a rough idle and a little weak however I was able to get it home. The Car has been running fairly well however I do not drive it more than once or twice a week. I have read this issue could be a bad coil and I should likely get the car hooked to a diagnostic. Any input or suggestions would be appreciated. The only performance MOD is a recent JLT intake I just added. Thanks.

Sounds like to me you could have a bad cam sensor and your car is in "limp mode". I'd also check the fuel delivery system.

Glad to help. Keep us posted on the progress. I'm sure others will chime in with other clues to what might be going on and we will get it back to running like the beast it is.
