Can I join this stock 2-valve party?

Hello all, I am new to the forums and it seems that the mod motors enjoy a good following here. I am also a 2-valve owner as I have a 2004 GT with a completely stock intake to oil pan engine with the usual bolt ons minus headers.

I have seen how far I could push it and feel great with what the car has accomplished. I was all motor until this year as I added a dynotune nitrous kit. In all motor form I ran a [email protected] in June of 2009. I didn't do much racing in 2010 and I just had my first runs of the year last week. Here is the result:

Headers will be going on shortly and I am anxious to see what the results will be for n/a and nitrous runs! No 1/4 mile times as all the local tracks here are 1/8.

I will assume you mean nitrous, 950psi. If you are asking about tires, I run 16psi.

Welcome to the club. Your MPH in the 1/8th gives me a chubby, because it lets me know once I get real tires on the car, it does have much more in it.

My best in the 1/8th was an [email protected] with a crappy 1.74 60ft time because I was running on 555R's.

Nice to have another fast N/A guy on here.

If it weren't for physics and law enforcement, I'd be unstoppable.

I have hit 86mph a few times. Real tires help for sure. Good luck with where ever your build takes you. It is good to see that someone else is putting effort into their 2-valve.

Here are a couple of pics.

On motor usually 1.65 with a best of 1.64. So far with the nitrous a best of 1.57. I have never had a problem with it leaving hard! That is with a 3.73 gear and leaving at 5500.

I live off of Mountain Rd, and I usually go to Knoxville dragstrip. However, I have ran at 411, I-40 (Crossville) and Knoxville. After I get the headers installed I plan to go to I-40 again.
