go with the PI heads and intake...unless you are flush with cash, in that case go with Trick Flow

What year is your car again? I know it was discussed before in a different thread, but I forgot. The only negative thing I've heard about the TF heads, besides the price, is that on n/a cars they're not really worth it unless you're going to rev it to the moon. Personally, I would just get some Stage 2 Patriot's, slap some nice cams in them and call it done (and for about the same price if not maybe less than the TF heads by themselves).

Then unless you have a real healthy budget ($1200 for Patriot's, or $2200 for TF, plus the cost of a PI intake and a few other assorted odds n' ends to complete the job) I would just do the PI swap. With brand new parts and figuring full average retail prices, it will still come in at less than $1000. If you can find used stuff (your local pick n' pull, craigslist, ebay etc.) then it can be done super cheap. And it will be a nice 50-60 hp gain.

If you're really going to dump all of your combat pay into it I would really spring for a different car.

I know if I could go back and do it again I would rid myself of this 96 and snatch up a Mach 1 or Terminator

It also depends on what you want in the end (meaning N/A or F/I) and how much you are really prepared to spend.

Look up PI Swap and you'll find a lot of info. With just a PI swap and maybe some stage 2 cams you should easily pick up 60-70whp.

With Some TFS heads and stage 2's quite a bit more.

Now go defend my freedom POG!

I like my car and year if i do anything it'll be just getting a bigger better motor. I don't want the gt500 or terminator when i can get the block for either one and make engine bay adjustments to fit it in. Im just not going to stick with the 4.6 2 valve
