You are going to need to rip it apart to see if the rod is broke or just a spun bearing. If the rod is broke you might have some major costs involved, crank, block, rod, piston, head, valves, ect... If you just spun a bearing depending on what damage was done to the crank and rod, the may need to be replaced. the only way to determan anything is to either drop the pan or pull the engine.
