So I need some Bolt on Ideas for my 2004 GT

So I got my mustang back in March after selling my 98 z28. So far I am pretty happy with it. Id like to look into some little mods without getting into supercharges cams and heads. The car came stock and all I put on so far was SLP Loudmouth 1 and a BBK Cold air intake. My future ideas next was underdrive pulleys, Off road xpipe, sct custom tune, 3.90 gears, and a 70mm throttle body and plenum. Are the throttle plenum combos worth it? I mean if I can get 5-6hp out of a trick flow combo I will probably do it. And no spray lol. What else can I do that is pretty cheap?

This Forum is really dead..

Dont go with the combos.. Go with a c&l plenum & 70mm TB youll get around 5hp out of it .. nothing much & pulleys are a waste of money

Youll here everyone on here yabbing about suspension first but Your not going to do Digs all day long .. So IMO Id wait on that

1. Gears & Short Shifter [ Steeda ]
2. SCT
3. x pipe
4. Plenum & TB
5. Suspension [ Full length Sub frame Connectors, Upper & Lower Rear Control arms , Etc ]

That's exactly what I was gonna say. People love to spend money on the cool stuff that makes big horsepower, but the same people have a hard time dropping coin on tires & suspension. The ironic thing is, there aren't many mods that make as big of an improvement as upgraded tires & suspension. Added grip means better acceleration, braking, and cornering. Win-win-win.

UPR offers AFM members a 10% discount on any part we manufacture, so I'd be happy to help you if you choose to upgrade your suspension.

Gears gears gears and don't fear the gear. What is your future plans for the car? What kinda driving do you mainly do? Here is my opinion..... 4.10's and a hand held tuner from AmericanMuscle. Free lifetime tunes and you could even get a gear/tuner combo from them.

I would start with subframes and gears, and like Sharad and 86 said, suspension will get you more than power until you have both.

this is probably the most commonly asked question on this forum...check out the search feature
My first mods were, pro 5.0 shifter, and the suspension, then the headers, then the supercharger...giddyup
