Just made the switch to a 2001 GT

And a pretty black Bullitt at that.

Just a little about the story:
I had a 2007 V6 that I built up with all sorts of goodies, but it was time to move on and I sold it. With the money I landed myself a great looking Black Bullitt mustang so I now turn to your wisdom here!

It has underdrive pulleys, MAC cold air intake, and a fill spintech exhaust that I am not sure I like so much.

As far as the gears, the 3.73s are very hard to adjust too, especially seeing as I have never driven a stick shift before. Im finally getting the hang of it after several stalls and some grinding.

Is there a shifter out there that would make things any easier?

I will always miss my first car, but i know I will be happy with the new platform to play with

Once you get use to the 373 you won't like the 355 or 3.31:1 gears. I
enjoy my gear and wish I had more! The shifter may get old after 2 or
3 years, just depends on your inclination to road course and drag strip.
Glad your happy to move on.

MGW or Pro 5.0 are the shifter you want to consider, they do make shifting easier since they shift so much faster, the throws are very tight and short

Definitely go with a short throw shifter of some type. They make it a ton easier to find the gears and look better too. Congrats! on the Bullitt purchase

Thank you!

I have a question as a new 5 speed driver, when I shift into gears it bucks, is this normal or a sign that either I am doing something wrong, or need to have something looked at?

Well if it bucks when getting back on the gas and letting off the clutch, it could be you are coming off the clutch to quick. It took me awhile to find this cars sweet spot on a smooth 1-2 shift and my problem was I was letting off the clutch to fast.

that's what I was hoping to hear, I know im letting off to quickly and the reason I was stalling so much...So far so good!

I haven't had any hill problems yet, but I still cant pull into my slightly slanted driveway or park in 90 degree parking spots so it looks like im off to a parking lot tonight

It sure is fun!

That is a sweet lookin' Bullitt Shadow. I have the same bucking issue, if I let out nice and slow on the clutch it doesn't do it. I have only been driving mine for about a month.
