Post Motorcraft Idle Air Control valve

Yeah, "not another idle thread" I know lol but I have to share my story and why you should not buy any other iac, other than Motorcraft. Ok several months ago, my original iac went bad (the one that was on it at when it was brand new), so I went to advance auto parts and bought their BWD brand iac. It "fixed" the problem, but after a couple weeks it started making weird sounds and making my car want to idle at 1,500 rpms. I got mad took it back and went to Auto Zone and bought their brand (note that its the same price at $76). A couple miles down the road after install, it wanted to make the car idle at 2,000 rpms (like the iac was getting stuck). Took it back got another one and it dis the same thing. Well turns out I had to bite the bullet and stop being "cheap". So I ordered motorcraft iac from and they're no more issues. And I know everyone has probably heard this but do not go with a non-motorcraft iac. Save yourself the trouble and get the good stuff. You get what you pay for. Just thought I'd share. Thanks

You're not the first person I've seen who had issues with parts store IAC's. For the most part they're good, but there are some turds among the bunch for sure. And +1 to rockauto, I've dealt with them once or twice and was pleased with the prices and selection.

I have purchased two IAC's from NAPA and both have caused same issues. I'm am going to buy the OEM and see if that solves my high revving issues.
