4.6 stock valve covers

Is there a detailed description or pictuers for how to modify stock valve covers so they fit over aftermarket roller tipped rockers?

I believe what needs to be done is taking the baffle out so they clear.

you can search all over the Internet for an answer to that, but in the end you will need new valve covers. If your running a carb it's not so bad, because your not running a closed loop (EFI setup). If your running EFI there are options. In my case I wanted Cobra valve covers, but they are only available for standard rockers. I needed a "Spacer". Great right? Well a 1/2 inch spacer is hard to come by. Long story - short. I got a 1 inch spacer, (aluminum) cut it in half with a table saw. (carbide bit) and had a shop sand it smooth. (flat) Oh and don't forget that your intake will need a spacer as well. If your carbed, just get a set that is taller than stock. There are quite a few....I think some even look like stock if I remember...

Best recommendation I can make, unfortunnately,is BBK vale covers,Expensive, but no baffles inside. If you try to cut out the baffles in the stock valve covers, you might crack them. They are only plastic.Summit has the cheapest price.
