well the gears and the converter are gonna have to wait I'm not even sure if I can get the jmod done before I go off to college got to save money you know since I daily drive her what stall converter should I get and I might get 4.10s depending on how it is when I move right now I'm trying to keep gas milege and get power I'm getting around 20 right now 22 on the highway 3.73 seem better for what I want I'm also worried about how quickly this auto goes through gears she revs so quick and shifts quickly to makes me wonder if I have a partial jmod done

If the car has been stock so far, I doubt you have the j-mod done already. The shift points need to be adjusted in the tune. I was still getting 23mpg with mine and it had 3.73's. Getting your tune will also help keep the mileage up where it needs to be.

That idle is low. Should be around 650.

Honestly, I think a tune is going to be your best bet but I would wait to get a custom tune until the gears and torque converter are done because both of them will require custom touches.

Gears and a dyno tune should be fine for what you are looking for. A Stall will help obviously but that quite the $$$$ of an upgrade and I know how you are with money.

Sounds like you should just get a dyno tune for now and be happy with it. These cars are just not fast with simple bolt ons, tune, etc...they are fun, but not fast.

Donít do bama tunes, youíll be worse than what you are now.

Also, Jon, I found a company called roadrunner converters. They sell 10Ē high stall lockup converters for our 4r70w and they are only $365. Iíve got one in my car and it works pretty well.

You want to try to tune it yourself?

Are you prepared to go to classes and pay for someone to teach you how to do it? Tuning is not easy, and the learning curve is VERY VERY steep. Ask me how I know that....

OP, trust us when we say a dyno tune is worth it. I know you are worried about cost but in the end, if you go your route, you will be spending more money than what a dyno costs....

Trust us all...we have been there, we have done that....we have the T-shirts and we sell the T-Shirts. At this point and where you are with your car, it's time to open the wallet.

Cheap, fast, reliable...pick two of those.
