New Edge convertible top leaks

I fixed four wear holes in my top last week with the help of this excellent thread from another forum...

https://mustangforums.com/forum/conv...tang-vert.html

...there may be a thread on our forum--I was unable to search it up. In any case, if you are battling water leaks around the rear window to the boot area, this write-up is the ticket. Thanks to the person who spent the time to put it together.

Truth in Ruin likes this.

Underestimate me, that will be fun.

I got lazy and just punched a hole on either side of the well liner and added drain lines so when it does leak into the well liner it just flows out behind the rear tires. Although, I don't drive it in the rain anymore nor does it sit outside so I don't care if it leaks now

I was about to go that route (and will if this fix doesn't take)...what did you use to affix the drains in the boot vinyl? I have a picture in my head of some sort of flat washered nipple sticking thru the vinyl with a threaded nut around the nipple on the bottom side.
