Hey all. Working on the 99 GT some more. It has an aftermarket radio installed. Whoever installed it bypassed the Mach 460 system. I pulled the radio to make sure the factory plugs were still there (they are). When I removed the lower piece of the console around the shifter, there is a mysterious plug with 4 wires plugged into the back of it but there’s nothing there. Any idea of it’s intended purpose? Thanks.
If manual IMO it's likely that the mystery plug is for the automatic shift assembly. My 2000 GT manual also has an unconnected plug under the center tunnel near the gear shift.
It’s a manual. I’ve seen pictures online that show a traction control switch there.
