1997 Mustang GT Speedometer

I have a 1997 GT and when I bought it, it had rims that were kind of ricer, so I sold them. The problem is that the speedo was calibrated for the 18" rims. How do I recalibrate it for the stock rims?

Get a tuner such as a diablosport predator. You can adjust for several factors to change your speedometer calibration, including tire size and gear ratio. They claim to add 10-20 hp as well.

Triple Black 2000 GT 'vert. Stalker Bodykit, Cobra R 18" rims, BBK TB/ Upper plenum, COP's, Vortech v2 SQ, Steeda Short-shifter, BBK Long Tubes, BBK Catless X-pipe, Flowmasters, SVT Focus fuel pump, 42 lb injectors, Racecraft suspension, Steeda subframe connectors, Steeda control arms, Ford Racing 3.73 gears, Diablosport tuner. 383 RWHP, 389 RWTQ.

How would the previous owner have calibrated it for the custom rims?

He either had the dealer do it or he bought an aftermarket tuner as stated above
